TRAVEL / STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

This series was created in January 2025 in Vietnam over a 3 week period. My intention with this series was to go all black & white & create something I had never done before. I traveled to 2 different places - the Hanoi area (the Northern capital) & Vung Tau (a coastal town 1.5 hours South East of the Southern Capital of Saigon. I had photographed in these places before but this time my focus was to get "closer" to the people & capture more portrait style images than I had done previously, while also capturing images that were simple & effective in their design. It's always important to treat people with the greatest amount of respect & gratitude when photographing them. In most cases I found people said yes to me when asking them if I could photograph them & it was a very rewarding experience. Luke G
